HUULIHARPPUMESTARIN MATKASSA
(PLAYING WITH THE MOUTH HARMONICA MASTER PLAYER)
Huuliharppumestarin matkassa is one of my latest records. 2009 in Kaustinen Folk Music Festival I met a master player, Aimo Matere from Lahti city. We had a couple performances together and Ilpo Aro was playing with us too.
We decided. to record a folk music cd together.
The recordings were made in Seinäjoki during one weekend on last october.
Aimo played mouth harmonica, I played acustic quitar ja Ilpo played washboard and wooden spoons. The cd includes mostly traditional mouth harmonica music and some melodys composed by Aimo.
